Tryouts are conducted in order for us to see all
beneficial attributes that a potential recruit may have. We specifically look for teamwork, sportsmanship, skill and the willingness to learn. E.p.i.c. Unit defines these attributes as follows:
Teamwork:
Putting the team’s success above your own. a victory for the team as a whole is also your victory, even if you are eliminated in the process.
Sportsmanship:
accepting the outcome of the game, regardless of the circumstances. view your mistakes as mistakes and not failures. if an opponent manages to eliminate you a congraTulatory attitude is more beneficial, to you, the team, and the sport as a whole, than a vindictive one.
Skill and the willingness to learn:
you don’t have to be the best player in the world - basic skills, the willingness to learn and accept constructive criticism is all you need.
